Retrospection: Persona 4 (Story) Chapter  21 : Truth and Desires

A three part video this week since we are nearing the end there is not much side story stuff left to extend screening time. Included is a pre-chapter video that show (protagonist) Akira beating up more Reapers. Not shown in the video but in total I defeated 16 reapers and managed to finally loot the Omnipotence Orb which allows Akira basically the ability to withstand most attacks except Almighty attacks (of couse he couldn't use it against Margret or else she...  but maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, save that for another discussion...).

Now to get to main attraction of the chapter, which is the confrontation with Adachi and as expected, "Adachi-baby" is pretty much chum against Akira and his friends after defeating so many reapers.

What's pretty cool about the fight is that Adachi's persona is also Izanagi, makes me think that any person who Izanami touched gained the Izanagi persona although I cannot be certain. We never saw Namatame's persona. Adachi's persona, Magatsu Izanagi from the fight has got skills including Heat Riser, and the wind attack Magarudyne. It's not the first time in a persona game where multiple characters can have the same persona. In Persona 3, both its protagonist and Aegis the protagonist of the Answer at one point both weild the Persona Orpheus.

Well after defeating Adachi so easily of course he really wasn't the true boss fight, Akira then does battle with a being known as Ameno-Sagiri. He emerges telling Akira and his friends that he was the one whom allowed them the potential to summon their persona. Of course, it is revealed that he is an aspect of Izanami who she created. If you guys were paying attention during the event when the protagonist and the company went to Gekkoukan Highschool in Tatami Port Island, Mr. Edokawa gave them a lecture on the origin of Izangi and Izanami and the genesis of the world. Fun-fact as you probably guess or already figured out, Ameno-Sagiri also plays a role in Japanese literature. In japanese mythology Ameno-Sagiri is actually the god of fog.

Not directly going home, and discovering the identity true identity of the gas attendent is only way to unlock the true ending in Persona 4. Throughout this playthrough I tried make very subtl talk to the gas attendent on raining days when he could be only found. You probably also noticed the game pointing out as well not to leave Inaba yet. For instance during Akira's last conversation with Naoki Konishi, and Dojimas. The fact that the Judgement Social Link just only reached maximum after defeating Ameno-Sagiri, allowing you to summon Lucifer. Now that the mystery of murders have been solved the only thing left is to confront Izanami and ensure Inaba's future is safe from more people misusing the other world.
