Retrospection: Persona 4 (Story) Final Chapter Epilogue : Farewell Inaba

This two part chapter concludes this Persona 4 Story playthrough. Before protagonist (Akira Yoshioka) faces Izanami the one who truly began it all Akira gets an invitation personally from Margaret for a duel. To be honest the duel with Margaret might have been most challenging and probably the most engaging fight. The first time attempting to fight Margaret naive me decided to equip the Omnipotence Orb to the battle. Immune to all attacks (except Almighty magic)? You would be crazy if you were not to use it right? Big mistake. The moment she attacked she used Megidolaon that does 9999 damage instantly. One thing I realized why this battle was so engaging was because Margaret's status alignment is always cycling and therefore you need to pay full attention to each turn and anticipate what Margaret will do next. The whole battle felt reminiscent that of a boss battle in Chrono Trigger where the trick to defeating bosses were casting specific elemental spells at different phases of battle. In the end however, the Persona 4 gang pull through and defeated Margaret where then she revealed information about her sister and predecessor Elizabeth whom assumed her role in Persona 3. It was a nice throwback to the main protagonist of Persona 3 for the fans.

Also one thing I think I might need to aplogize for is I didn't realize that in the beginning of the chapter I summoned Izanagi-Okami only not to use him at all in the duel against Margaret. After realizing this, I made sure in the battle with Izanami-Okami  to mainly stick with Izanagi as Akira's main persona in the battle and bring it back full circle to his first Persona. The battle is then followed by one of Persona 4's most emotional moments when Akira bids to his friends. Fans of Persona 3 might have thought its ending was more yes its a much more tragic... but I think it speaks to fact that I enjoyed and was more attached to the characters of 4 than in that it tugged on any sort of heart strings I had more than in Persona 3.

In the end I am glad I got to play through Persona 4 again, and happy that some of you might have watched it and also enjoyed my first time at creating any sort of full video content. Stay tooned for my wrap up piece of the entire Persona 4 Story playthrough and an article archive soon.
