Evolution (EVO) 2012 was this past weekend, and it was jam packed with tension, startling upsets, awe and much more. In recent years I've (Rapid) been slowly beginning to enjoy watching high level tournament play. For the most part in general, I enjoy good video game commentary like Day9 does for Starcraft. One down side to Evo (or more fighting games) is that sometimes the action is too fast paced for even the commentators to properly keep up with. It seems like you often get commentators reacting to the action with screams or the frequent "OHHHH" rather than an explaination of what just happened. With Starcraft although the game is also moving quickly there's enough time for the commentators to really break down what's going on.
Anyways, last week Phantasy Star Online 2 officially was released, and this week Sega formally announced an North American / European release sometime in early 2013. Below is the latest video I've upload of my playthrough of the game currently in Japanese.
This week I uploaded a new Witcher 2 video, we are nearly complete Chapter 1 in which Geralt must make decision whom to side with which will have a big impact on how the rest of the game's narrative progresses (right down to which quests will be avaliable). I've already have whom I want to side with in my mind, however, I strongly encourage anyone to get the Witcher 2 and experience the story for themselves (even if you have not played the first Witcher).
